Plant of The Day 28/07/22

Today's plant of the day is Hosta Blue Mouse Ears!

These shade loving perennial shrubs sport uniquely blue-green coloured foliage that takes the shape of mouse ears. From June to August beautiful lavender snapdragon-like flowers will sprout from the plant.

Plant in a moist, well drained, fertile soil and water well. Moderate amounts of sun will scorch the leaves so be sure to situate it in a spot with plenty of shade be it in a porch container or the garden edge. Hostas are naturally low on maintenance, however they will benefit from the removal of spent blooms.

Sun: Full to partial shade

Height: 15cm (6 inch)

Spread: 30cm (12 inch)
