Today's plant of the day is Aquilegia!

This clump-forming hardy perennial produces mounds of divided basal leaves. Its short, leafy stems bear beautiful bell-shaped flowers of coloured sepals and petals with contrasting spurs providing an exciting colour combination.

Aquilegias make for eye-catching container or border plants with their spectacular array of bright colours. Plant in moist, fertile soil and water well, ensuring the plant does not dry out.
